Final Fantasyis a Japanese RPG series that began in 1987 and was created by Hironobu Sakaguchi. The game was originally meant to be namedFighting Fantasy,but Sakaguchi changed the name toFinal Fantasybecause in addition to wanting to go back to college Square was about to go bankrupt, and the game was intended to be the company’s last game. Thankfully, the game was a huge hit, and, along withDragon Questand theTalesseries, is one of the most successful Japanese RPG franchises in the world....
